Collingwood Park State School has inclusion teachers who are supported by teacher aides in the classrooms.

This support includes reviewing an Individual Education Plan twice a year for each student with the class teacher/s, parents/carers and other stake holders (Speech language pathologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist). Goals are set which reflect the students’ needs academically, emotionally and socially.

resource provision and modification
withdrawal of student/s to do individual and small group work where appropriate
Our role also involves:
Consulting and assisting class teachers in planning units and programs to meet the needs of all students.
Consulting and assisting class teachers in modifying class resources to meet identified needs.
Assisting with modifications to assessment items to allow greater student access, whilst maintaining assessment integrity.
Developing Behaviour Management Plans with a particular focus on development of a positive climate which contributes to pro-active behaviour management, such as, being organized, being on time, completing work.
Supporting each team member in behaviour management within classes and playground
