POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING
Collingwood Park State School is a
Positive Behaviour for Learning School.
Positive Behaviour for Learning is a behaviour support framework that clearly defines expectations for student behaviour. This framework includes the explicit teaching of expected school behaviours, routines and procedures and frequent acknowledgement and reinforcement of positive behaviours.
All students at Collingwood Park State School are expected to behave in a manner that reflects the four C.A.R.E. values of our school:
·
Co-operate
·
Attend
·
Respect
·
Excel
Each week, our school has an area of focus that involves the explicit teaching and learning of positive behaviours, routines and procedures. These positive behaviours are clearly outlined in our Expectations Matrix in the Student Code of Conduct. Students will participate in weekly lessons that involve discussion, role-play and reflection.
There are a range of opportunities for our students to be recognised for demonstrating our school’s expectations including: C.A.R.E. Tokens, Weekly C.A.R.E. Awards, Student of the Week Awards and reaching STAR Crow on the classroom C.A.R.E. Chart.
If you would like more information about how our school maintains a positive and supportive learning environment, please refer to our Student Code of Conduct for students.
