Collingwood Park offers students many opportunities to sing in choirs. There are two choirs at Collingwood Park State School, open to all students in Years 1-6.
The Piccolo Choir is for students in Years 1-3. This allows young students to experience what it is like to be in a choir. Songs are specifically chosen to suit young voices and are designed to be engaging for choir members and audiences alike. They will perform throughout the year at various school events.
The Passionato Choir is for students in Years 4-6. They sing a wide range of repertoire from Australian choral works to pop music, with a continual emphasis on developing students’ voices and technique. As the school’s premier choir, they perform throughout the year at various school events, competitions, and outside-school performances.
Both choirs rehearse once a week at lunchtime. It is expected that all members attend every rehearsal, or let Mrs. Dunster know in advance if they are unable to make a rehearsal.
